Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported a chaotic scene on Alligator Alley in Collier County on Saturday afternoon, involving at least 25 high-performance cars and a low-flying helicopter.
Troopers described the incident as a "street takeover," with some cars racing at high speeds while others performed donuts. At one point, a group of spectators stood on the interstate watching the event unfold as the helicopter hovered overhead, capturing video.
When troopers arrived, they arrested two individuals and issued a citation to another.
Authorities say Scott Reback was found in the passenger seat of a bright green Porsche GT3 911, which was parked at a recreation stop after the incident. Reback allegedly claimed he did not know the driver’s name, referring to him only as "the camera guy." He was charged with riding as a passenger in a race competition.
Troopers also ticketed Rashed Fathi Rashed, who was driving an unregistered blue Porsche. He was cited after allegedly making an illegal U-turn on the interstate.
Additionally, troopers arrested Andrew Mumtaz Tadras, who they say was behind the wheel of a two-door 2024 blue Ferrari SF90. He was allegedly racing another vehicle at 148 mph in a 70 mph zone. Authorities also noted the Ferrari did not have a license plate.
