



Briggs Boardwalk, also known as the Briggs Nature Center Boardwalk, is a serene half-mile loop trail located near Naples, Florida. This self-guided nature trail traverses five distinct habitats, ranging from scrub forests to mangrove-filled waters, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's diverse ecosystems.

The boardwalk is situated within the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, a 110,000-acre reserve dedicated to preserving the area's unique subtropical environment. As you stroll along the boardwalk, you may encounter a variety of wildlife, including ospreys, green anole lizards, river otters, and diverse insect species. The reserve is also home to over 150 species of birds, making it a popular spot for birdwatching.

The trail is generally considered easy and takes about 10 minutes to complete, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. It's an excellent spot for a quick walk to immerse yourself in nature.
For those interested in contributing to the preservation efforts, the reserve encourages visitors to participate in their iNaturalist community science project. By documenting the plants and animals you observe, you can assist in monitoring the area's biodiversity.
